COPRO3: Fractional CO2 Resurfacing

The COPRO3, made by Korean device maker Meditime, is a fractional CO2 laser: it resurfaces the skin in a grid of microscopic treatment columns while leaving the skin between them untouched. The intact tissue speeds recovery and drives a strong natural healing response, so fresh collagen forms as the surface renews, smoothing scars, pores, and deep wrinkles that gentler treatments cannot reach.
The fractional principle
A CO2 laser gently vaporizes the outermost layers of skin, classically the most powerful resurfacing tool in aesthetics and, historically, the one with the longest recovery. Fractional delivery changed that math. By treating only a fraction of the surface at a time, micro-columns of renewal surrounded by untouched skin, the COPRO3 keeps the power while the intact tissue between columns dramatically speeds healing.
Each treated column triggers repair, and repair means collagen: the skin rebuilds the resurfaced spots with fresh structure, which is why results include firmness alongside smoothness.
Depth and density, dialed in
Because both the depth of the columns and their density can be adjusted, the COPRO3 is really a range of treatments in one device. Marie tailors every session to the concern: a lighter resurfacing pass for tone and texture, or deeper, denser work for stubborn scars and etched lines. The dial is the craft; the same machine that refreshes can also rebuild.
What it treats
The COPRO3's range covers acne scars and surgical scars, enlarged pores and uneven texture, fine lines and deeper wrinkles, and sun damage and pigmentation, with skin looking smoother, firmer, and more even as it heals over the weeks that follow. It is the resurfacing end of the studio's spectrum, for concerns that live in the skin's surface architecture.
Common questions
How does fractional CO2 differ from the PicoWay?
The PicoWay works non-ablatively, beneath an intact surface, using picosecond pulses. The COPRO3 is ablative: it renews the surface itself in micro-columns. Deeper texture problems tend to call for resurfacing; pigment and gentle rejuvenation favor picosecond work. The consultation matches the tool to the concern.
What is the recovery like?
Faster than traditional full-surface CO2 resurfacing, because the intact skin between columns accelerates healing. The specifics depend on the depth and density of your session, which Marie walks through before treatment.
Is it right for my scars?
Fractional CO2 is one of the stronger tools for etched scars and texture, but the right choice depends on your scar type, skin, and downtime tolerance, which is exactly what the consultation sorts out.
