How do fat dissolving injections work?

Fat reduction injections use deoxycholic acid, a molecule your body already produces to break down and absorb dietary fat. Injected precisely into a localized pocket, under the chin or on the upper arms, it disrupts the membranes of fat cells there, and your body clears the released fat through its normal metabolic pathways over the following weeks.
A borrowed mechanism
The elegance of injection lipolysis is that nothing about the chemistry is foreign. Deoxycholic acid is part of how your digestive system emulsifies fat every day; the treatment simply delivers that same molecule to fat tissue that diet and exercise refuse to reach. Once a fat cell's membrane is disrupted, the cell releases its contents and is processed and cleared by the body.
That clearing is why results are progressive rather than instant. The injections do their work in minutes; your metabolism does its work over weeks, and the contour change appears as it does.
Localized by design
This is spot treatment in the most literal sense. The acid acts where it is placed, on the subcutaneous fat of the treated pocket, which is what makes it right for the under-chin fullness and upper-arm fat it targets and wrong for general weight loss. No injectable redistributes what the scale says; what it can do is recontour a specific spot that holds fat out of proportion to the rest of you.
Precision is therefore the entire craft. The dose, depth, and pattern of injections determine both the result and its evenness, which is why this belongs in trained clinical hands rather than anywhere selling volume.
What the change looks like
Expect a gradual slimming of the treated area across a series of treatments, a profile that reads more contoured from the side, an arm line that sits cleaner in sleeves. Because the change arrives slowly and looks like you, it tends to read as weight lost rather than work done, which for most clients is precisely the point.
Common questions
Which areas can be treated?
The under-chin area and the upper arms are the zones treated here, the two classic pockets that hold localized fat regardless of overall weight.
Is this a weight loss treatment?
No. Injection lipolysis contours a specific pocket of subcutaneous fat; it does not change overall body weight or replace nutrition and exercise. If a spot bothers you at a weight you are otherwise happy with, that is the right use case.
What does a session feel like?
A series of small, precise injections into the treated area, done quickly in-office. Comfort measures and what to expect afterward are covered at your consultation, since experience varies by zone and person.
