How many fat reduction sessions do I need?

Fat reduction works as a series, not a single visit: each 20 to 30 minute session dissolves a portion of the treated pocket, and results build progressively as your body clears the released fat between sessions. How many sessions your plan needs depends on how much fullness you start with and how much change you want, which is assessed at consultation rather than quoted from a menu.

Why one session rarely finishes the job

Each treatment can only disrupt so many fat cells safely and evenly, and your body needs time to metabolize what a session releases before the next one layers on. Working in passes is what keeps the reduction gradual, natural-looking, and controlled; a contour carved in one aggressive sitting is not a goal any careful injector chases.

Between sessions, the treated area is quietly changing even when the mirror seems static. The clearing process runs for weeks after each visit, which means the result you see before session two already includes only part of what session one started.

What sets your number

Three variables do most of the deciding: the size of the pocket (a modest under-chin fullness asks less than a substantial one), the zone itself, and your endpoint (a subtle refinement versus a maximal change). At consultation Marie evaluates the fat pocket by feel as well as sight, distinguishes it from any skin laxity that injections cannot address, and maps a series honestly against your goal.

Judging the result

Evaluate at the end of the series plus the final clearing window, not midway. Progressive treatments punish impatient judgment; the profile at the halfway point is an in-progress draft. Photos at consistent angles across the series are the honest scorecard, and they are the ones worth trusting over daily mirror checks.

Common questions

How far apart are the sessions?

Spacing gives your body time to clear each round before the next, and the exact interval is set clinically for your plan at consultation rather than from a fixed calendar.

What is the downtime after each session?

It varies by person and zone, which is why the honest answer is the one Marie gives you for your specific plan rather than a universal figure. You will know what to expect before your first session.

What happens if I gain weight later?

Cleared fat cells do not return, but the cells that remain in and around the area can still enlarge with significant weight change. The result is durable at a stable weight; it is not a license against biology.
