The Reepot, made by Korean device maker ilooda, is a medical laser whose defining feature is built-in hyper-cooling: a system that continuously chills the skin's surface during treatment. The cooling shields the top layer and keeps every pulse comfortable, which is how hair removal and pigment treatments stay virtually pain-free, with no numbing needed. It is cleared by both the FDA and Korea's MFDS.
Hyper-cooling changes the experience
The sting associated with older laser hair removal comes from heat reaching the skin's surface along with the follicle. The Reepot attacks that problem directly: its hyper-cooling runs continuously through treatment, chilling the surface while the laser energy does its work below. The result is a session that feels gentle rather than endured, without the numbing creams older platforms leaned on.
Comfort compounds practically, too: a tolerable session is a quicker session, and quick, well-cooled delivery keeps appointments easy to fit into a day.
Hair and pigment, one platform
Marie uses the Reepot for two jobs: removing unwanted facial and body hair, and clearing stubborn spots and pigment, sun spots, age spots, freckles, and uneven tone. Both are pigment-targeting tasks at heart, the follicle's melanin in one case and the spot's in the other, which is why one well-cooled platform handles both.
Cleared on two continents
The Reepot is approved by both the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the FDA, a double clearance that reflects the standard Korean aesthetic technology is held to at home and abroad. For a studio built on authentic Korean-style treatment, the provenance is not incidental; it is the point.
Common questions
Is it really pain-free?
Virtually. The continuous surface cooling removes most of the sting associated with older lasers, and no numbing is needed. Sensation varies by area and person, but comfort is the platform's defining trait.
How does it relate to the Aerolase?
Both platforms remove hair and treat pigment; they differ in delivery and cooling approach. Which machine your plan uses is Marie's call at consultation, matched to your skin and concern.
How many sessions does hair removal take?
Hair removal runs as a series regardless of platform, because follicles must be caught in their active growth phase. Typically 3 to 6 sessions clears an area; your plan is mapped per zone.
