How long does Radiesse last?

Radiesse results last up to 24 months, among the longest in injectable contouring. The lift itself is immediate, and the duration comes from the second mechanism: the calcium-based microspheres stimulate your own collagen, so as the product gradually breaks down, tissue you built yourself carries part of the result forward.
Why the clock runs long
A conventional filler's lifespan is the product's lifespan. Radiesse decouples the two. Its calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres persist long enough to hold structure through the first stretch, while acting as a scaffold for neocollagenesis, new collagen of your own forming around them. By the time the microspheres have fully broken down, the zone carries collagen it did not have before, which is how a single treatment stays visible toward the two-year mark.
The up-to phrasing is honest rather than decorative: metabolism, the zone treated, and how much structure was restored all move the number. What holds across cases is the shape of the curve, an immediate result that matures rather than simply fading.
The appointment itself
Plan for 45 to 60 minutes in the studio and 1 to 2 days of downtime after. Marie maps placement to your bone structure before any product is placed, which is where the lifted-but-natural outcome is actually decided; the injection is the execution of a design, not the design itself.
Protecting the investment
Nothing about Radiesse requires a maintenance treadmill, but structure ages on, and most clients eventually choose a refresh as the effect softens. When that point arrives varies enough that Marie assesses it per face rather than booking it by calendar. Pairing the structural work with skin-quality treatments can also keep the surface aging in step with the frame beneath it.
Common questions
Does the result stop suddenly at 24 months?
No. The effect tapers gradually as the product breaks down, cushioned by the collagen built along the way. Most people notice a slow softening of the result rather than an end date.
Is the result visible right away?
Yes. Radiesse adds structure the moment it is placed, so you leave with the lift visible. The collagen-building phase then deepens and matures that result over the following months.
Will I need the same amount at a refresh?
Not necessarily. The zone retains collagen built since the first treatment, and the refresh is dosed to what your face needs then, which is assessed rather than assumed.
