When will I see PRF results?

PRF results arrive progressively, because the treatment does not add anything you can see; it signals your skin to build. The growth factors released after your session work over the following weeks, and the collagen and elastin they trigger accumulate behind them, so the change surfaces gradually: texture first for many clients, then volume and resilience as structure builds. Patience is not a side effect here; it is the mechanism.
What happens right after
The appointment itself runs 45 to 60 minutes, including the blood draw and the in-clinic preparation of your gel, and downtime is 1 to 2 days. In the days immediately after, there is little to evaluate in the mirror, and that is expected: the fibrin scaffold is releasing its growth factors into the tissue, recruitment work that happens entirely below the surface.
Resist the urge to grade the treatment in week one. What you would be grading is the swelling schedule, not the result.
The build
Fibroblasts respond to the sustained signal by producing new collagen and elastin, and that production runs on biology's calendar, ramping over weeks and continuing well beyond them. Because the change is your own tissue rather than a placed product, it compounds quietly: skin that holds light better, texture that reads finer, hollows that soften as structure returns. The result tends to be noticed by other people before it is credited by you, which is the signature of regeneration done well.
Judging it honestly
Photograph before you start and compare at intervals, not daily. Whether your plan calls for one session or a series, and when a maintenance visit would protect the gains, depends on your skin and goals, and Marie sets that rhythm at consultation. The one universal: regenerated tissue is yours, aging forward at your skin's natural rate rather than expiring on a product's schedule.
Common questions
Why is PRF slower than filler?
Filler places volume; PRF grows it. Placement is instant and regeneration is not, but the regenerated version is made of your own collagen and elastin, which is the entire appeal.
Can I speed the process up?
No treatment makes fibroblasts outpace biology. What helps is consistency with your plan, sensible skincare, and sun protection while the new collagen matures.
How long do PRF results last?
There is no expiry date to quote, because the result is your own regenerated tissue rather than a product with a lifespan. It ages naturally with you, and maintenance, if wanted, is planned at consultation.
